How fast was the 500 EVO at Zandvoort? Pole by 2.5 seconds on debut
On its race debut, the 500 EVO took pole at Zandvoort with a 1:35.143, the fastest lap of the weekend at the circuit.

The Revolution 500 EVO made its race debut at Zandvoort as part of its development program, and it took pole position and the win. Here are the numbers from that weekend.
SPC qualifying
| Car | Gap to 500 EVO |
|---|---|
| Revolution 500 EVO (pole) | 1:35.143 |
| Revolution 500SC, Peter Elkmann | +2.547 s |
| Radical SR10, Jim Booth (fastest non-Revolution) | +6.366 s |
Elkmann is a German professional who knows Zandvoort well and had tested the 500SC before the event.
Against the rest of the paddock
The 500 EVO's lap was the fastest of the entire weekend. In Dutch Supercar qualifying on the same day:
- A Ligier JS P3 LMP3 ran 1:36.385, 1.242 seconds slower.
- The fastest GT3, a BMW M6 GT3, ran 1:38.305, 3.162 seconds slower.
Pace that holds
The race laps showed the car keeps its pace over a stint. James Abbott set his fastest race lap on lap 15. Nigel Redwood set his on the final lap of the weekend, on tires that had already covered more than 250 km (about 155 miles).
For owners, consistent pace on worn tires means more laps between tire sets and a car that stays predictable late in a session. That matters on a hot Florida afternoon.
